The Alumni League

Bringing Back Competitive Spirit

Welcome To The Alumni League

The Alumni League kicked off October 7, 2017, and is taking the Philadelphia Basketball circuit by storm, focusing on Philadelphia's competitive basketball rivalry, including old friendships, alliances, and rivalries. The league is comprised of teams of alumni from Philadelphia area high schools, harking back to the 80s ad 90s. Rivalry has been fierce. Pro-players and ex-NBA players are among the competitors.

ABOUT US

The Alumni League headed up by Fahreed Cheatham, was created with a vision to continue the rich tradition of basketball competition for players 30+ in the Philadelphia region.

There is an untapped desire amongst many players, to continue to play at a highly competitive level, without being pro, well into their 30s and even 40s. The Alumni League seeks to fill that void initially in Philadelphia, and next year expand to other East Coast Cities.

Business Directory

The Alumni League Business Directory was put together as a service for players, coaches, sponsors and supporters of The Alumni League, in order to list and promote their businesses, products, and services.

It is our vision that those in the league, when looking for a product, or service, will consider listings within The Alumni League Business Directory first, and use or purchase the product/service. We encourage all the business owners and service providers with listings to have prices that are comparable to outside businesses, and even offer a 5, 10, or 20% discount for Alumni League members.

You can select the category of service or product you desire, and listings under that category will populate. Click on the actual business listing you are interested in, and all relevant contact details will populate for that listing including relevant contact details (name, phone number, address, email and website) along with Alumni discount noted if offered.

GIVING BACK

PHILADELPHIA AREA SCHOOLS

The Alumni League donated $1000 to Philadelphia area schools -  2 x $500 scholarships (for 2 current schools represented in the championship final), after talking with the principals of both schools, realized that the $500 donations would  impact more lives if they went to the athletic departments of the schools, which receive no government funds. The funds would purchase new equipment, new team jerseys and with that build esteem for the players involved.

Players and attendees contributed $1 at early games towards the $1000 pot and sponsors also contributed to make up the $1000 pot.

Look to see the presentations of the scholarships to the kids when we get to the finals.
